The Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son. After accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, every believer can follow Jesus’ instruction to be filled with the Holy Spirit and receive their personal heavenly prayer language.
The Gifts of the Spirit are active today enabling believers to help others.
The Holy Spirit provides the believer with:
Power for living
Understanding of spiritual truth and guidance for doing what is right.
Only by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior personally, as God’s gift and requirement to receive forgiveness, can a person be saved from sin’s penalty of an eternal existence in hell. We are saved by grace through faith, not by our works.
Water Baptism is an outward symbol of our inward commitment to Jesus Christ. Following Christ’s example, believers should be baptized (immersed) in water after receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior.
The Great Commission:
The Great Commision from Christ to us as believers is carried out as we go into our world, sharing our faith and being an example of what God’s love and power can do in a person’s life. Loving people is a command, not an option based on what we think people do or don’t deserve.
The Gospel empowers believers to overcome and be victorious in this life. God, through His Word, gives us His principles to live by. When we do what the Word says, we get the results that God promised. The evidence of our salvation will be our commitment to demonstrate our faith by our obedience to His Word. The result of our obedience is a changed heart, life and desires.
